Crisis or Opportunity?


I have no doubt at all ... that we are all going through an unprecedented and unusual time period.

I have no doubt at all ... that we are all distressed to hear every single stroke of the coronavirus hit our fellow man.

I also have no doubt at all… that we are all afraid of the health of the people close to us and the health of ourselves.


We are going through a period of losses. We are having a difficult time. We are going through a <historical> period.


This has never happened before.

Never again has the government asked us to close our homes.

Schools never closed again because of an illness.

We never used masks and antiseptics again to make our daily shopping.


And while we are all constantly bombarded by the media for all the measures we need to take to keep our physical health safe, almost no one has thought of informing us of the measures we need to take to safeguard our mental health.

Dear friends and dear members of the team.

What I am going to write down below is clearly not the measures you need to take at this time. The word <measures> in this case is not appropriate. But I could say below that I will give you some suggestions for experiencing this different period as positively as you can, focusing on the opportunities it creates rather than the negative events that accompany it.

It is NECESSARY to do the following first:

  1. Recognize that all of this constant and unpleasant news about coronavirus transmits feelings of fear, anxiety, panic, and DECIDE, so stay tuned, but do so in moderation. Get updated at specific times of the day. You need to put a limit on the constant bombardment of the unpleasant events that burden you consciously, but also subconsciously with negative emotions. One negative thought can bring the other, in a completely unconscious  level. There is a risk that you will end up spending every day in the panic, fearing the worst, being completely inactive. Don't let that happen.                                                                                           
  2. Focus on the daily gratitude. Instead of thinking about the negative effects of  the situation that you are experiencing , it is much smarter to focus on all the positives sides that accompany this <strange> period.


Ask yourself the following question:

 What are the opportunities that emerge through this crisis?

We all know very well that every crisis presents opportunities BUT there are few who realize the opportunities in times of crisis so that they can benefit from them.

So let's look at the other side of the coin together.


Opportunity 1:

When have you had so much time at home again?

At this time you have the opportunity to take care of your space. Make it better. Check the closets, the warehouses. You can also clean up old and useless clothes and items. You can even change the layout of the space. It is important that you spend so much time at home making sure your space is as functional and enjoyable as possible. Let your creative side free to guide you. After this crisis, your home may become even more comfortable and beautiful.


Opportunity 2

Time for rest .

If you have been denied the entry to your workplace, then you are one of the lucky ones to be able to sleep a little longer. You will not have to spend time everyday dressing, preparing food, driving a car and more. You will wake up with a much more relaxed mood and work much more comfortable.

And to catch you. In case there are children in the house, it is necessary to create a program that best serves ALL family members. So through a discussion, you decide how to move these days so that all the family members come out winning and feeling good.

It is imperative that each of us create our day-to-day (and better in writing) daily plan and be creative and productive.

Once this different period is over you will thank yourself for all that you have done and feel "victorious" through this experience.


Opportunity 3

Time for my hobby.

Undoubtedly, there will be moments in the house where you will say: I am bored.

BUT if you start hobbies or activities you enjoy you will surely feel much better. Perhaps this extra time at home may be the opportunity to practice something you enjoy and become even better at it. Or maybe it is the chance to look for new interests and discover your new hobby!


Opportunity 4

You are my life partner and now I feel closer to you than ever .

Many times the fast pace of daily life does not allow us to spend enough time with our partner. So here's the chance to come even closer to our match. Express our concerns and discuss, above all, how we can make the most of this time. To talk about other issues that concern us, to set our common goals. Let's cook together. Let's clean up together. To work more as a team. Finding different creative ways to have fun together.



Opportunity 5

Family. Let's all get closer.

The whole family is at home. You may feel that there is a little or big chaos in the house, but it doesn't matter. When there are a lot of people in the house, that makes perfect sense. But how many times have you had the opportunity to spend all of you so much time together?Now is the perfect time to do everything you wanted to do at home with your family. Cooking together, eating together, having breakfast together, chatting together, playing together. This experience can be a unique and unforgettable experience for all of you. It may in the future be described as the experience that brought you all closer and strengthened your relationships.

 ALL the members of the family should have a conversation. Express your fears and worries, and then make the decision to spend this time as best you can. Let all the wishes be heard and let most be fulfilled. All family members can think and suggest ways to spend your time together happily.

Caution! Toddlers can really surprise you because they tend to have the most imaginative and creative ideas. Don't be afraid to follow their suggestions. Let yourself be a little kid too. Let go and have fun.


Opportunity 6

Let me learn something new .

Is it time for you? If so, you might want to take this time to learn something you REALLY want. From cooking to learning another language. There are now unlimited learning resources on the internet, and many of them are completely FREE.

Learn something new, something useful. Enrich your knowledge and skills.


Opportunity 7

Time with yourself.

How precious is the time you spend with yourself! Huge opportunity that can radically change your life. The time you spend with yourself, helps you get closer to your needs, your desires. It helps you edit events and situations. It helps you make important decisions. It helps you make choices and set goals. It allows you to get closer to yourself and understand it better. Many times people unfortunately avoid sitting and having important conversations with themselves. But it is essential that these discussions take place. Believe me, if you don't do it now you will have to do it later, and that's not a good thing for you. So take this opportunity to talk to yourself. If you want,

Especially if you are at home alone at this time and have plenty of time at your disposal, you are even more lucky. You know, this time you spend with yourself can lead to important decisions, life decisions. It can lead to new goals. You may be able to accomplish something very important that you would not even have the opportunity to even consider. You can create something new.

Think after a few years of saying, 'I realized this in a timely manner' or 'I decided this in a timely manner', or 'I found this in a timely manner'.

Our mind has incredible abilities.

Ask yourself the 'right' questions, and it will show you all the answers sooner or later.


During this period there are plenty of opportunities to make good use of  AND many DIFFICULTIES to face but only YOU can decide where you want to focus your attention!

 I could write for hours, but I don't think it's necessary. I'm sure you've already started thinking about your own opportunities to grab, your own ideas to take advantage of.

As soon as you focus on the feeling of gratitude, thinking of everything that you have and NOT what you do not have, then your mind will begin to come up with increasingly clear ideas of how many things you can currently do and truly enjoy.

Once you focus on all that YOU CAN do and not what you CANNOT do, then you will help yourself to make the most of the opportunities presented to you.

Perhaps this positive and creative way of thinking will make other people feel a lot better.
